O2 Customer Service Reviews

Ok, so the O2 customer service phone number isn't too easy to find, otherwise you wouldn't be here, but that isn't really something that you can hold against the response that you get when you phone O2. The 1st thing that you will notice when you look up O2 customer service is that there are very few complaints on the internet, which is in itself in a testament to the fact that they are doing a pretty good job. Most customer services have complaints all over the internet whining about everything from poor response times to out of the country call centres. Our experience with O2's customer services has been pretty good, there is very little to complain about and short of a couple of run ins people have had with their payment department we haven't really heard of anything that people have had a problem with.

Telefónica UK Limited, trading as O2 in the UK, is the second-largest mobile telecommunications provider in the UK (after EE, formerly Everything Everywhere), the UK office is based in Slough. Originally formed as Cellnet in 1985, a joint venture between BT Group and Securicor, by 1999 BT had acquired Securicor's share and the company was rebranded as BT Cellnet. In June 2000 BT Cellnet launched the world's first commercial General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). BT Cellnet with BT Group's mobile telecommunications businesses were part of the BT Wireless division which was spun-off from the BT Group in 2002 to form and the new O2 brand was introduced for the businesses. Telefónica, the Spanish telecommunications company, subsequently acquired O2 and agreed to retain the O2 brand and the company's UK headquarters in Slough. Today O2 is a leading provider of mobile and broadband services, including non-voice services such as text, media messaging, games, music, video and data connections via GPRS, HSDPA, 3G and WLAN. The O2 brand is used by Telefónica in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. O2 also operates the network for the Tesco Mobile business in the UK and Ireland.
