The Homechoice service was launched in September 2000 in the London area and purchased by Tiscali UK in August 2006 to become Tiscali TV in 2007. In 2009 the Carphone Warehouse purchased all the assets of Tiscali UK for its TalkTalk division and the service was rebranded as TalkTalkin 2010. The service is delivered over a BT phone line, via ADSL to offer IPTV, video on demand, telephony and internet access. In 2003, under the Homechoice brand the video services were expanded to include the majority of live channels that are available on the Freeview platform. The area covered now include London, Manchester, the Midlands and Yorkshire, with TalkTalk aiming to serve over 15 million homes by 2015.
