Jaguar Review

Jaguar Cars are based in Coventry and are a subsidiary of the Tata Motors company, an Indian automaker. Originally the company was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922 by Sir William Lyons, making motorcycle sidecars before developing cars. The name was changed to Jaguar after World War II due to the unfavourable connotations of the SS initials in the name. They were sold to The British Motor Corporation in 1968, which later merged with Leyland Motor Corporation and was nationalised as British Leyland—Jaguar until it was acquired by Ford in 1990. Jaguar has an illustrious history, having made cars in recent years for the British Prime Minister and they hold royal warrants from HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Charles. Today Jaguar cars are designed in in Coventry and manufactured in near Birmingham. The company founder insisted that every car the company produced combined performance and beauty like no other, today they are continuing that tradition with the launch of the all new F-Type two-seater sports car. The traditional Jaguar values are today still instantly recognisable across the modern range, every model is agile, powerful, sleek and seductive. Although the company has changed hands several times over the years, but Jaguar is very much alive.
