Lexus Review

Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Toyota, introduced in 1989 first in the USA, today Lexus is sold globally in over 70 countries and is the largest-selling make of premium cars from Japan. The Lexus marque is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan, with operational bases in Brussels and California. Lexus originated from a clandestine project, code-named F1, which began in 1983 and culminated in the launch of the Lexus LS in 1989. Since then Lexus has added coupé, convertible, and SUV models to their range. Including in 2005 a hybrid version of their RX crossover and the LFA supercar in 2009. Lexus vehicles have always traditionally been produced in Japan, with the manufacturing in the Toyota plants in Tahara, Aichi, Chūbu, Miyata, Fukuoka and Kyūshū. The first Lexus built outside of Japan was the Canada-produced RX 330 in 2003. Lexus today have their own design, engineering, and manufacturing centers, separate from Toyota and solely responsible for the division's vehicles. The largest market for Lexus has always een the USA, but since 2000 they have been increasing sales outside the United States through an ongoing global expansion in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Europe.
