Durex Review

Durex is the brand for a range of condoms that used to be made by SSL International, a British company, but was sold to Reckitt Benckiser in 2010. The brand was trademarked in 1929 by the London Rubber Company and was an abbreviation of "Durability, Reliability, and Excellence". Currently Durex condoms have around one quarter of the global market share for prophylactic sheaths, which equates to around one billion units per year. The Durex product range includes nine varieties of latex condom, plus the Avanti condom, the first male condom made from polyurethane and suitable for users who have an allergic reaction to latex. In 2007 Durex announced that they were producing a new line of condoms that will contain a gel in the tip that dilates arteries and increases blood flow, to help men get a firmer erection and increase penis size.In the USA Durex condoms are the second most popular condom band, with Trojan condoms being the most popular. Durex has over 80 years of experience of manufacturing condoms using a process that’s tried and tested with only the finest quality raw materials. Each condom is tested electronically to International standards and a Durex condom will typically expand to hold 40 litres of air without bursting. All condom types are also dermatologically tested plus around 2 million condoms every month are also filled with water to make sure they don’t leak. If one sample doesn’t pass any of the tests, the whole batch of condoms (up to 400,000) doesn’t leave the factory.

For any product help or queries, please get in touch with Durex using the telephone number provided and they will be happy to help. The customer service team are available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm (but please note that calls may be monitored for training and quality purposes).
