Hotels.com Review

Hotels.com provides hotel accommodation worldwide through their own network of localised websites and call centres. They offer possibly the largest selection of accommodation on the net, with inventory comprising both independent and major chain hotels, plus self-catering accommodation in over 140,000 properties around the world. The Hotels.com website offers a true one-stop shopping source for hotels and accommodation. The company operates 85 websites in 34 different languages with a huge inventory that includes hotels and B&Bs, condos and other types of commercial lodging. Established in 1991, they became part of Expedia Inc in 2001. Strangely, although Hotels.com offer accommodation in worldwide destinations, it is not possible to book hotels in Cuba through their website! Hotels.com has a loyalty program that allows customers to claim discounts on hotels, for every 10 nights booked with hotels.com, customers can claim a price reduction on the next booking. The program is called "Welcome Rewards" and launched in the UK in 2011. Hotels.com publish a twice-yearly review of international hotel room price trends called the Hotel Price Index. The Hotel Price Index is published both digitally and in printed form, and is aimed at journalists and hoteliers.
